Timeline

1972 - Development of the First Domestic Low Oil Cutter

The first examples of the indigenous low-fat breaker were produced in the high-voltage fuse production workshop of the Turkish Electricity Authority's regional directorate in Adapazarı, by Tevfik Mağara and his maintenance and repair team. Many of these breakers were used in the plant for many years.

1972 First Domestic Cutter

1977 - Start of Low Oil Cutter Manufacturing in Izmir

Low oil cutter poles and mechanisms were produced in technical cooperation with Electroputere - Romania. Electrical cabling, winding motor, on/off coils and other equipment were manufactured locally. The initial workshop was 300 m² in İzmir 2nd Industrial Site and the capacity was increased to 600 m² in a short time. By the end of 1978, the mechanisms were completely produced domestically.

1977 Izmir Production Start

1977 - Start of Medium Voltage Parafuse Production

In cooperation with MINEL - Yugoslavia, production started by importing silicon carbide variable resistors, porcelain insulators and other parts were supplied locally. The first investment was 200 kV lightning impulse voltage test equipment.

1977 Parafudur Production

1980 - First Silicon Carbide Variable Resistor Manufacturing for Medium Voltage Surge Arrester

MINEL - Production started at the factory in Kemalpaşa with technology purchased from Yugoslavia.

1980 Silicon Carbide Resistor Production

1980 - Domestic Insulation Production in Epoxy Resin Plant

The production of glass fiber epoxy insulated pole tubes was started and the production of low oil cutters was completely domesticized.

1980 Epoxy Resin Production

1984 - First Domestic Medium Voltage SF6 Gas Breaker Production

NMG - SF6 gas interrupters were produced locally with technology purchased from Italy. Insulated poles were manufactured in epoxy resin plant.

1984 SF6 Cutter Production

1985 - 72.5-170 kV High Voltage SF6 Gas Breaker Production

In cooperation with Energoinvest - Yugoslavia, SF6 gas insulated poles were imported and other parts were produced locally. 350 kV high voltage and 900 kV lightning impulse devices were used in the tests.

1985 SF6 Cutter

1985 - 72.5-170 kV High Voltage Surge Arrester Production

Cooperation with Siemens - Germany, import of silicon carbide variable resistor and production started with locally produced parts.
