Batel's The story began in the 1970s with a determination to contribute to Turkey's energy infrastructure. This step, taken in 1972 with the development of the first indigenous low-fat circuit breakers, marked a turning point where engineering expertise and production courage came together. Production, which started in small workshops, soon expanded to medium and high voltage solutions.
Batel, which has been strengthened by international collaborations since 1977, has brought together its technological experience gained from different countries with domestic production. This journey, whose foundations were laid in Izmir, has led from epoxy isolated poles to SF₆ gas interrupters, from vacuum interrupters to metal oxide surge arresters has realized many firsts in Turkey.
After 1980, every new product and technology, from domestic resistors to epoxy resins, from load breakers to vacuum circuit breakers, added value to our engineering vision. The SF₆ gas product family developed between 1984 and 1986 was put into production for the first time in Turkey.
In 1991, with the official establishment of Batel Elektromekanik, it started its activities with the aim of becoming a technology provider company. Increasing its engineering capability with separators, vacuum tubes and automatic load separators developed in the 2000s, Batel today offers a wide range of products ranging from air-insulated metal-enclosed cells to SF₆-free solutions.
Inspired by the courage of our founders, we always strive to do better in our journey of more than half a century.
